Too many times we gripe about what our husbands don't do. Their shortcomings seem to outweigh their good points in our conversations. I'm as guilty as any of us. A couple years back my husband (then pastor) and I began a couples Bible study; we split for the discussion part of the group time. I remember the first rule we agreed on for our discussions: Only say positive things about our husbands! It was easy enough in that context - there wasn't too much personal information I could divulge to that group! But in any other setting the temptation sure does creep up to air "all those wrongs."
So instead tonight I want to share something wonderful my husband just did for me. He went to run an errand, then went out of his way to a Starbucks - first time on his own in there! - to bring a nice hot drink home for me. Now isn't that just too sweet? It was such a pleasant surprise and it made my day.
What was the most recent amazing thing your hubby did for you?

OMG! i'm beaming about my husband for the same thing tonight! God must be passing out the "get your wife coffee vibes" :)
but what impresses me more than bringing me --well, it's hot chocolate, b/c i don't like coffee... so what impresses me more than him bringing me hot chocolate is the fact that he knows exactly what i want: "large, with whole milk, minus 2 pumps of chocolate." anyone could get me hot chocolate, but he knows just how i want it, because loves me, he takes the time to learn the details! :) :) :)
Aw, that is awful sweet! Good on those men!
It wasn't a lil' sweet thing but Daniel spent half his day off picking baseboard trim. We should have it up before the one year anniversary of the *new house.*
He doesn't particularly care how finished the house is so long as it is clean and has food, so it was definitely just for me. And it totally made me feel like a million dollars.
Nice!! Both of you!! It's so important to recognize the efforts...and to remember them! Jose definitely doesn't know what kind of coffee I like, but that didn't matter! :)
LOL, Ruth. :)
