New Tradition: Two Birthdays

So last Saturday was Rebekah's first spiritual birthday. I'm so glad I wrote the date down! And just like on her regular birthday, I re-told the story of how it happened, we sang to her, and shared a cake with her grandparents. She was so excited about it all, and though it took a bit of explanation, she finally understood why there was a #1 candle on the cake. The memory of when I accepted Christ has become so blurred, so I want to make extra efforts for my children in hopes that they will remember and keep the date special.

aw!! precious! happy born-again day!!

i've always wanted to do that, but the day usually passes, with a mention that it's a special day, and no more. :(

Yeah, I hope to keep it up...I really don't remember the day I accepted, and that makes me sad. Maybe this will help my girls in the future...take a day to remember when all of heaven rejoiced and the angels threw a party! Never too late to start a new tradition... :)
