I don't have anything to write about

Since I exercise great restraint to not treat my blog like a diary, and since I'm a pretty typical wife and mom with pretty typical days and a pretty typical schedule, I just plum don't have much to write about at the present! But I do think about updating my blog. Really I do. Sure, there are topics I could get all fired up about. But honestly after the girls go to bed (which is when I sit at the computer to check YOUR blogs) the only thing I'm really fired up about is crashing on the couch with an evil snack.

I could tell you about how I got up yesterday and again today at 7am to go to the gym. And today wasn't as horrid as yesterday. And I could do a little more today than I did yesterday. And how my goal for this week is to just GO, every day, no matter how little I do. But if I talked about that, I might jinx it.

Oh, I know! I could tell you about a conversation at the dinner table tonight with my girls! It wasn't quite funny at the time, but as I was telling my sister about it via instant messaging, it suddenly seemed rather hilarious. So it goes like this:

Rebekah: Mommy there's meat on my chicken and i dont like it!
Me: Honey, chicken IS meat
Bella: Jesus calls it chicken and God calls it meat
R: Jesus and God are the SAME man, Bella! Because they both have hair on their chin and right here and right here (pointing to sideburns).

And that was how our conversation went. I hope you enjoyed a taste of our dinner entertainment! I'm off to the couch and to wish for evil snacks only to be hit by a wave of guilt and frustration.

ya know, a pretty low fat and still chocolate-y satisfying snack is a good, big bowl of Cocoa Pebbles. just sayin'... :) i, too, am trying to tackle the weight loss thing. luckily, the stess lately helped shave off 5-7 pounds. now i'm at an ideal starting point, so i should just jump in there with lots of exercise and healthy eating and keep the downward trend going.
however, i just made brownies last night. and they're in the kitchen. *sigh*
but i have a goal of fitting into a dress i wore on our honeymoon for a date this summer....i can fit into, it just doesn't look that great on me (i bulge in places i didn't used to...). SO there's some motivation. until i see the chocolate frosting on the brownies... :)
anyway, yes, the cereal thing is what i resort to what i'm most desperate.

and, by the way, VERY cute conversation between your girls. :)

I never thought of Cocoa Pebbles! Thanks for the idea! My snack last night ended up being a glass of wine (which is allowed) and a small handful of jelly bellys. I figure the sugar was better than something with fat, right?! :)

I almost weigh as much as I did when we got married (as in, I still weigh less...when I moved to Honduras I lost like 15 pounds without trying!) but same as you...the fat's all re-distributed! Ugh!

I wish I didnt care!! :(

LOL, you guys must all think I'm nuts with all the directions my blog seems to take. My brain just doesn't shut down sometimes.

As for late night snacking..we won't talk about the bags of chocolate kept in various places around the house for PMS time or the trips to Starbucks for an overly fatening coffee.....

Cocoa Pebbles huh...I'll have to look into that :)
