And it just so happens that in a week from tomorrow we'll be GREATLY showered with grace by getting to go visit beloved friends in Houston, then Dallas, then yes! to the East we will head for two glorious weeks with my right arm, my flesh and blood, the other half of my brain (the bigger, smarter, more eloquent half)...my sister. I'm not sure I can consider it all "rewards", because that would imply that I accomplished something that might deserve something. And as my beloved Houston friend pointed out way back when, we don't deserve anything but eternal condemnation, and anything we get better than that is amazing grace...if you consider life from a Biblical standpoint, not worldly. Because a worldly standpoint says "you deserve it!" when it comes to getting good things. But I digress. So grace it is, and we are glad recipients! "Bring it on!", I say! I open up my arms to this grace-rain that is about to pour! I don't deserve these God-sent friendships and gestures of love and care, but I will soak them in, trying hard to put guilt-trips aside, knowing that all good things come from God to begin with, and it's really just Him showing me He loves me. Truly undeserved, humbly received.
