Yes, it was just as hard as they said it would be. Choking back tears, taking pictures, staying till the last minute, and even then standing and staring through the only open door into an empty hallway where the munchkins had already disappeared. I suppose in my altered (or is it permanent?) state of emotional, mushy mind, I thought I would catch another glimpse of her - brand new pink dress, pink bow, shiny black shoes. Thankfully (?) the rest of the day turned out to be way too busy to mope around with just one child instead of two. And now another lunch is packed, another fresh, new set of clothes is set out (this time for two, as tomorrow is Isabella's first day of preschool!), and I am headed to my lovely bed, with a lovely snack and the lovely remote where I will watch lovely, mindless tv and finally get to "crash." Yes, it will be lovely.
