So after you tell me how to use my coffee syrups (see below) I need help in coming up with a Palm Sunday craft for 2 yr olds. I have color pages on the topic, but what else can I do? I found some crafts on the internet that have to do with the donkey, but I really don't want to focus on the donkey! I have green paper and limited other supplies...I was thinking something to do with the palm branch...but what? What could the 2 yr olds do with that? And after you're done giving me Palm Sunday craft ideas, we can start thinking about Easter Sunday craft ideas (remember, 2 yr olds, small Sunday school room, limited supplies...). Thanks guys! :)

hmmm... well... the obvious: cut out some construction paper palm branches... you could do that in advance & then let the kids use scissors to cut straight lines into the sides (to make the leaves) ... would be fun & simple for little ones.
or
the whole idea of palm sunday was praise... so maybe you can get away from the palm thing & just think about praise... they could make shakers: glue scraps of tissue or construction paper to water bottles. fill the bottle w/beans or rice & glue the lid on.
you could think of waving your hands to praise Jesus... trace their hands & write 5 things they like about Jesus (or 5 things they're thankful for) on the fingers.
or don't write anything on them... instead, cut them out, let the kids decorate them (glitter etc) & glue them to clothespins, so when you sqeeze the clip, they clap. :)
or...you could do finger streamers like i did for my dance kids... just get little hair rubberbands & tie pieces of ribbon (we used cheap curling ribbon) to them. very simple... makes it fun to praise God. (go here http://www.kingdomdance.co.uk/rib.htm and scroll down). if you did that, it would be a quick, easy craft, but then you could teach them a really simple dance to a praise song.
or... focus on KING Jesus.. get some crowns from Burger king & let the kids decorate them w/stickers or glitter or sparkles.
oh! i remember something my kids did once... Jesus said that if they were silent then the rocks would cry out. so the kids did something w/rocks... can't remember what, exactly... i kind of think they made a necklace w/a rock on it, somewhow. Or you could get rocks & let the kids paint or marker them... & then draw a face on it...maybe glue on some some google eyes.
or...make a tiny crown & put it around a water bottle. then draw happy faces on a bunch of rocks & put them in the water bottle, and then cut out trace-outs of their hands & glue ribbons to them. then put them on clothes-pins & glue the clappy hands to the top of the bottle..and while you're at it, maybe you could glue donkey ears to it! ;~D LOL!

hey, Ruth, could you try the Resurrection Eggs thing with the two's...i don't know if they'd get a lot of it, but it's a thought.
