Girls' Night, Anyone?

Somethin' comfy to drink and somethin' cozy to eat...let's all forget our woes and have girls' nights. I had a girls' night over here 2 nights ago - it was lovely. We talked about secret things, drank lots of coffee, ate pastries, then watched trash tv and ate chips n' salsa (homemade!).

Yes, PTL, God led us to a wonderful little church and when we got here a year ago they thought we were so COOL because we had just moved up from Honduras and I was like wow! I've never been cool before! Ha! They invited us right in to the small group of our peers (young families) and 2 girls in particular were so nice to us and invited us to play dates and things right away. Now they are good friends. We do try to have girls' night out every once in a while where we meet at a coffee shop. But now that I've moved out of the ol' folks' home (haha) I can't go anywhere at night so instead the girls came over here and it was better all around because the coffee and pastries were on the house! I highly recommend girls' nights. You should have them. And frequently.

Yes, Glenna, let's all meet in the middle! How about Vegas? That's in the middle! And there are cheap flights there all the time! Hey, I'm being half-way serious. I could have my parents watch the girls for a 2-night weekend...maybe someday...???

hey, Glenna, ME AND YOU could drive there! totally, i'm kinda serious!!!!! 'cause we could share gas money, and one of us could take turns driving while one slept. and it would take us a DAY. ok, like i'm serious now, y'all. like what if we did this next summer?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

ok, i just mapquested it. from rowlett, las vegas is an 18 hour drive. TOTALLY do-able. ok, what if we even did like colorado or something??? we could save money and get a really crazy fun cabin for a weekend or some fun, posh hotel room in vegas (i've never been!). what do y'all think?!?!?!
I'M TOTALLY EXCITED!!!! :)

Yes!! See, I KNEW it was a good idea! Very do-able. I only mention Vegas b/c it's kinda in the middle and supposedly you can get cheap hotels there...the place itself does NOT really appeal to me b/c of such a bad reputation, but apparently there are all sorts of other fun and healthy things to see and do! :) Colorado is also good! I could defn have my girlies taken care of for 2-3 nights, and we could make the trip as cheap as possible!!! So glad you responded, Heather, b/c I was feeling kinda dumb...! :)

ok, i'm SO glad you read my post! nobody else had re-read it, and i was about to start yelling at everyone! :) ok, so we gotta make this an official plan and get all of us thinking on how to get it together. i bet if we checked hotwire or expedia we could get SUPER cheap, fancy hotels. Eric and i went to austin this summer and got a 4 star hotel for three nights for like 60 a night using one of those two... can't remember which right now. i've never stayed in such a nice room...not even on our honeymoon!
