All Cookied-Out!

Phew! I'm done! (For now) I let the girls "help" me a lot the last few days - making and decorating cookies. I noted great confusion, poor kids - "Another cookie, mommy? But why? What are you going to do with these cookies?!" :) We made chocolate covered peanut balls, frosted maple pecan white chocolate chip cookies, iced sugar cookies, pumpkin pie cookies, and mexican wedding cakes (aka russian tea cakes). Late last night I packed up the final tin and early this morning ran out to get more packing tape to send off the boxes. Just now the girls and I delivered to two neighbors. I'm not sure how many neighbors to deliver to...? I gave some to the neighbors we actually see as they come and go, also these ones have young kids that the girls could eventually play with. These neighbors seem to be in need of the Lord, so I hope this is an open door to reach them. Also I stuck a cookie plate in our mail box. :) Is that a crime? I can't remember if you're not supposed to mess with the mail box or something strange.

Tonight I'm hosting a small baby shower. I have some games ready and just need to tweak the devotional. And make the spinach artichoke dip - yum! I think it's my favorite. Maybe because of all the cheese. Mix anything up with a ton of cheese and it's gotta be good. Pizza, broccoli, salsa...all cheese.

I haven't sent out Christmas cards yet because we don't have a recent family picture yet. And what good is a Christmas card without a family picture?! So I suppose we ought to go and get that done. Seeing as how we have one week to get the picture taken, write a newsletter, and mail them all off.

We went to a living Bethlehem with some friends last Sunday - it was so nifty! People walking around in costume and in character...they did such a good job as a church. My girls loved it. So did I!

Liked your blog. Happened on it by accident (hmm?) while searching for info on Choluteca Honduras. You seem to be an amazing person, full of life and love for your family. Very uplifting. Thanks.
